WEIGHT LOSS

I have been successfully using this programme for many years on the whole range of problems people have losing weight and more importantly keeping it off.
The philosophy of the treatment is to get away from the idea of being on a diet. The emphasis in dieting is inevitably to focus on food - what you can, and more especially what you can't eat. Inevitably you feel deprived and have to keep your will power going for months on end. Most people can manage this maybe once or twice, but at some stage the cycle of losing weight through huge effort, only to put it all back on again, undermines your resolve. It becomes harder and harder to keep the necessary will power going.

For some people, the whole problem is certain foods they can't resist, or for others, always having snacks. Rather like trying to give up smoking, the more you focus on not having the forbidden food, the more you want it!

With the power of Hypnosis we can break this cycle.

The Aim.

·        The main focus is to use Hypnosis to get away from the feeling of being deprived and understand why you eat the way you do

·        Then you can let go of all the bad habits that you know just don’t work and get back to being able to relax and enjoy food

·        In Hypnosis you can find a better way of looking after yourself and creating new habits that suit you and your current lifestyle better.

·        Because there is no longer a focus on what you mustn't do and what you can't have, but on what you want to do that will make you feel better about yourself, you can achieve what you have wanted to achieve so much - to lose weight and keep it off, naturally!

The Approach.

·        First we use Hypnosis to give you the feeling that you will thoroughly enjoy the meals that you do eat. You won't feel deprived, quite the reverse, you will get great pleasure out of nourishing yourself properly and knowing that you are satisfying your real appetite. Because you don't feel deprived you will also feel satisfied more easily which means that you no longer have the desire to continue eating when you know you have had enough. The sense of satisfaction and achievement which goes with making this change will itself reinforce the process.

·        Then we tackle the very common problem of snacks; of picking at food you don't need, or of craving particular foods. Often this is chocolate or other sweet foods or it can be savoury snacks like cheese or crisps. Again we use Hypnosis to reinforce what you already know. This extra food is unnecessary and a problem. It can't satisfy your appetite because you weren't hungry to start with. Quite the reverse, it acts like a drug. You eat the snack to get comfort, but as you didn't need it not only does the comfort not come, but you feel guilty and worse for having the fattening food and want more comfort. Then the confusion really sets in! You have eaten, so you either miss your real nourishing meal, or have it when you aren't hungry, so you have no appetite to guide you, to tell you when you've had enough.

·        Hypnosis is one of the easiest and most natural ways to break this cycle. Instead of feeling deprived, and missing the old ways, you feel a great sense of relief, freedom and achievement.

·        Then we use Hypnosis to make sure that you automatically stop before having the snack, or continue eating when you know you've had enough. Hypnosis won't "make" you not have it, but instead lets you feel very deeply that you don't want it, you certainly don't need it, and how good it will be to feel slim. It becomes much easier to choose not to go back into old habits.

The Results.

·        Unlike nearly all diets, this treatment is not focused on your weight, it is entirely about changing your attitude and your habits. You will not feel you are on a diet, but instead you are developing new and much more comfortable habits that work and suit you better. These habits will become stronger and more secure over time.

·        Hypnosis works on habits surprisingly quickly. The aim of this approach is to get you as quickly as possible to the point where you know your habits have changed, that the old battle is over. Then our work is done.

·        Because the new habits are your new "normal", they don't end or fade away. You simply get on with your life. Food and eating is no longer a constant battle, but a relaxed and pleasant aspect of life.

If you are asking yourself  "can it really be that easy?", look around the rest of this site and you will see that Hypnosis can and does have an amazing power to make fundamental changes, even with long standing, acute conditions. Although I wouldn't minimize the distress and unhappiness that being overweight and failing at diets does cause, the underlying issue is not some illness or psychological disorder, it is simply an accumulation of bad habits and with Hypnosis, habits do change.

If you have any questions, please call me on the above number and I will try to answer them.
